When I came to this country 9 years ago I thought you are great. Really. I experienced a friendly people who were happy that someone was willing to fillet their fish and give then good customer service.
Even two months ago I still believed in you because well … your fathers, mothers, grandfathers, grandmothers, great-grandmothers and great- grandfathers fought against a country that only wanted to give jobs, benefits, housing and medical care to their own. Which wanted to make itself great again and which believed that international organisations had too much power over their national interest.
You are so proud of this heritage and you make sure that we do not forget.
However, the closer we get to this referendum the more you give me the feeling of being an intruder, a pariah even though I have never gotten a penny of benefits from you and I have paid…
